Colocation Services — Customer Guide
Eligibility & Geographic Availability
Colocation services are currently available to residents and registered businesses in the following regions:
- United Kingdom
- European Union (EU)
- European Economic Area (EEA)
- Switzerland
- United States
- Canada
Applications from outside these regions may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us to discuss your situation before applying.
Identity Verification (KYC)
As colocation involves the handling and custody of physical hardware, enhanced Know Your Customer (KYC) checks may be carried out during the onboarding process. This is in addition to standard identity verification and is to ensure the security and integrity of our facilities. Please be prepared to provide additional documentation if requested.
Age Requirements
Colocation is a contracted service. To enter into an agreement, customers must meet one of the following criteria:
- 18 years of age or older, applying as an individual or sole trader
- 16 years of age or older, where the applicant is acting as a named director or representative of a registered limited company or equivalent legal entity
Hardware Sizes & Form Factors
We support the following hardware sizes for colocation. If your hardware does not fall into one of these categories, please contact us before submitting an application.
Raspberry Pi Small single-board computers such as the Raspberry Pi and similar devices. Typically housed in a compact enclosure. Ideal for low-power, lightweight workloads.
Tower Standard desktop tower or workstation units. These are colocated as-is and are allocated space accordingly. Physical dimensions should be provided at the time of application.
1U A standard rack unit measuring 1.75 inches in height. Typical of most servers, switches, and 1U appliances.
2U Two rack units in height, measuring 3.5 inches. Common for servers with additional drive bays or redundant power supplies.
If your hardware does not match any of the above form factors, please contact us prior to applying so we can assess space and power requirements.
Power
Declaring Power Usage Customers are required to declare their expected power usage at the time of application. However, please note that all hardware will be tested and assessed by our datacenter technicians upon arrival. The technician's assessment of actual power draw will take precedence and will determine how power is charged. This is at the sole discretion of the attending technician.
Additional Power Charges If your hardware's power consumption exceeds what is included in your plan, additional power will be billed at £65 per kilowatt (kW). You will be notified if your hardware is found to exceed your plan's allocation following the technician's assessment.
Remote Hands
Each colocation plan includes 1 complimentary remote hands hour. This is provided as a goodwill gesture and is not a guaranteed service level or contractual entitlement.
Should you require additional remote hands assistance beyond this, it is charged at £40 per hour. Remote hands requests are handled as capacity allows and are not subject to a fixed response time unless otherwise agreed in your contract.
